Ethics are Everything

If you are a Realtor, not just a real estate agent, then you should be very aware of the Realtor Code of Ethics - in fact you should have taken a whole class in ethics when you joined your local Realtor association. But ethical behavior applies to all real estate agents and you must make sure that your words and actions are ethical at all times. How do you do that?

Be honest with all parties in the transaction.

Put your clients first - before your commission.

Disclose, disclose, disclose.

Betruthful in your advertising and all communications - including social media.

If you are ever in doubt, just remember the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you." (Matthew 7:12)

Practice ethical behavior at all time - at the end of each day, spend a minute reviewing your actions that day. If there is something that is niggling at your brain that you could have handles better, think about a solution as to how you can make it right and do it!
