Get Your Home Ready for a Spring Sale
It's Spring and now is a great time to get your home ready for a Spring sale. What are some tips for getting your home Spring ready?
To start with, let the spring light in. Wash the windows, open the curtains and let the sunshine in. Your home will look brighter and cheerier. Get rid of outdated and dreary curtains and valances or blinds. Go for light and airy.
Consider small renovations on the kitchen and bathrooms. You may not have a lot of money for a large renovation but small changes can make a big difference, especially if the kitchen and bathrooms seem really outdated. Paint is cheap and can make a huge difference. Neutrals, whites and greys are always a safe bet. A few new light fixtures can make a huge difference too. Make sure all your lightbulbs are in working order.
Make small repairs. Fix anything that is obviously broken, stuck or in need of repair.
Updates on the outside of the house give you the most bang for your buck. Paint the front door, clean up all the landscaping, rake, mulch, cut the grass, invest in some hanging baskets or planters with bright flowers, or even power wash the outside of the house. You want everything to look bright and clean.
