Still Time to Sell Your House in 2019

Many sellers may be on the fence about selling their home this year.  Should I wait until Spring?  I don't have too much time before the holidays and the end of the year.  Maybe I should wait.

But there are some good reasons why you may want to sell in 2019 rather than waiting for 2020.

Home prices have risen slightly as well as interest rates, but serious buyers, especially millenials are still buying homes.  Interest rates are still relatively low  and inventory is still on the lower side.  This is good news for sellers.

Right now 2020 is still an unknown.  Home prices may rise slowly but interest rates could creep up pricing some buyers out of the market.

There is still plenty of time to list your home and get it sold before the year ends.  Houses always look cozy and warm in the fall and it is a great time of year to add tasteful decorations consistent with the season and weather.

There is talk of a recession in the coming year.  Now may be the time to get your house listed before a recession becomes a reality.  Whether you believe the recession is likely or a long way off, current real estate trends indicate a sudden upswing in activity or prices is unlikely in the near future.
