The Power of Google Drive!
What is Google Drive and how can it make you a better agent? Well, Google Drive is a system to help you organize your paperwork and have it available on the Google Cloud and accessible from any of your devices at any time.
Paperless is the new catchword and Google Drive can help you achieve this. It goes hand in hand with GMail and is very easy to use. When you start your paperwork with a new client, whether it be a buyer or seller, you can open a new folder on your Google Drive with the address…

How to Up Your Marketing in Real Estate
Real estate marketing is a continual process. It is not something you do once and wait for the results. It is something you should be continually working on to grow your clientele.
Set up your goals. Where do you see yourself in the near future? Your goals should be specific and reachable in a timely manner.
Define the group of people you would like to work with and set your goals to them.
Find your niche. Set yourself apart from other realtors in a certain area, such as commercial, multi-family, …

Turning Contacts into Customers
Now that you have been actively increasing your database, it is time to turn those contacts into customers. Of course, not all of them will become your customer and it is important to be able to discern those who potentially will in order to maximize your effort. One of the best way to do this is to rate their level of motivation with a brief personal phone call or drop by visit. Since you have already sent them a personal note and an item of value about the market, they know you and are already…
Starting a Buyer Relationship
It's now time to take those leads you have generated and start to turn them into actual customers. Invite a potential buyer into the office to meet with you. This simple invite can go a long way in measuring their level of interest. If they are reluctant to take the time to meet with you in person, they may simply be curious about the market and not really ready to buy. That's okay, you can remain their resource for industry information until they are ready.
When you do meet with a buyer, yo…
Marketing Skills Matter
There are many places to market your listing. But no matter where readers are seeing it, careful, creative writing is what makes it effective. The real estate ad is often the beginning of your relationship with a buyer and it is important to make a good impression. How do you do that? Let's take a look at a few key points:
A clear, catchy headline - most people will at least read the headline and if it's good, they will want to read more. Be factual, but make it exciting as well.
Make i…
Politics Play a Part
The real estate profession definitely has a political side. The right to own/sell/buy real property is covered by local, state and national laws and has many tax implications. It is to your advantage to be aware of as many of these as you can and to get involved when it is needed. One of the ways to do this, is to be a part of a Realtor association which often has whole departments involved in political advocacy. It is their job to alert you to the important issues and direct you to the needed …
Expanding Your Database at Open Houses
Another simple way to add to your database is to create relationships at open houses. There are many reasons why someone attends an open house. They may be interested in that particular property, or they may simply be trying to get an idea of the current market or the neighborhood. Whatever reason brings them there, they are definitely interested in real estate and you should try to establish a professional relationship with them before they slip away.

Massachusetts Realtor Continuining Education!
Massachusetts Realtors are required to renew their license every two years from the date of their birthday following obtaining their license. They are also required to complete 12 Continuing Education units (CEU'S) in that time period. While two years might seem like a long time to complete your CEU's , many realtors are surprised how quickly it passes and that they are due to renew, but have not completed their CEU's. While it is good advice to start working on your CEU's right away, you ne…

Ethics are Everything
If you are a Realtor, not just a real estate agent, then you should be very aware of the Realtor Code of Ethics - in fact you should have taken a whole class in ethics when you joined your local Realtor association. But ethical behavior applies to all real estate agents and you must make sure that your words and actions are ethical at all times. How do you do that?
Be honest with all parties in the transaction.
Put your clients first - before your commission.
Disclose, disclose, disclose.
